OASIS 360
The Beliefs:
The underlying belief of Oasis 360 is that every child deserves at least one adult who is crazy about them, and willing to go above and beyond to invest in and advance their interests. Mentoring exists for this very reason, to help others grow, develop, and reach their full potential.
The Purpose:
The purpose of the Volunteer 360 Youth Mentoring Programme is to work with young people who are at risk of exclusion by connecting them with a trusted adult through a formal, long-term mentoring programme.
The Aim:
To provide the mentees, on a weekly basis, with support, guidance, and encouragement to help them avoid being excluded, thus staying in the environment of mainstream school with access to educational opportunities for the benefit of their future.
Who is Oasis 360 for?
This pilot will benefit students who may fall in one, or all the following categories:
Low emotional connection to family, peers, and school
Glamourise a negative lifestyle
Lack of future orientation and/or direction
Behavioural concerns raised by parents/schools

Are you passionate about your local community and Croydon? Do you have an hour to spare on a weekly basis for a great cause? Do you want to be a part of the positive change in the community by supporting a young person? Then Oasis 360 is exactly what you need to get involved with.
We are looking for reliable and trusted adults to volunteer as mentors through a formal, long-term mentoring programme. Meeting with a young person once a week for at least 18 months.
